Biopsy or investigations, if required, will be explained clearly.
Your clinic letter will be sent within 2–3 working days.

Bedside dermatological treatments

Treatment options under this category can be provided on the same day during consultation

Cryotherapy

Cryotherapy is a quick, effective treatment using medical-grade liquid nitrogen to precisely target benign skin lesions. When performed by a Consultant Dermatologist, this controlled freezing technique delivers high accuracy while preserving the surrounding skin. The procedure is brief, well tolerated, and requires no downtime.

Cortisone injection

A cortisone injection offers a rapid, targeted solution for inflammatory skin conditions such as acne cysts or thickened scars. Delivered directly by a Consultant Dermatologist, this treatment reduces swelling, discomfort, and redness with precision and minimal downtime.

Theatre based dermatology tests & treatment

Dermatological surgery and histological analysis**

Diagnostic skin biopsy

A diagnostic skin biopsy is a precise, consultant-performed procedure used to obtain a small sample of skin for specialist analysis. Using meticulous technique and careful site selection, the biopsy is carried out under local anaesthetic with minimal discomfort. The procedure is completed within minutes, and is designed to leave only the smallest possible mark. All samples are interpreted by a highly specialised Consultant Dermatopathologist to ensure the highest diagnostic accuracy.

Diagnostic scalp skin biopsy

A diagnostic scalp biopsy is a refined and highly specialist procedure used to investigate the cause of hair loss. Performed under local anaesthetic using standardised dermatological methods, two carefully selected samples are taken for advanced microscopic evaluation. This ensures a precise diagnosis and a tailored, effective treatment plan. The procedure is well tolerated with minimal downtime and a very small resulting scar.

Excisional biopsy / Skin lesion Removal

An excisional biopsy removes a skin lesion in full under local anaesthetic using refined surgical techniques. Performed by a Consultant Dermatologist with expertise in cutaneous surgery, the procedure prioritises both diagnostic accuracy and cosmetic outcome. Closure is tailored to the lesion’s size, type, and location, ensuring the best possible aesthetic result.

Skin Cancer Excision

Skin cancer excision is a specialist surgical procedure designed to completely remove confirmed skin cancers in a single session. The technique used varies according to tumour type, depth, and location, and is carried out with precision to ensure both complete clearance and optimal healing. Post-operative care and follow-up are provided to support a smooth recovery.

Procedural & Treatment Fees

All procedural and surgical treatments are tailored to your clinical needs. A detailed quotation is provided after your consultation.

*Guide price for self-funding patients. **Please noted that the cost of investigative tests and treatment proposals during consultation is not inclusive of the consultation fees. ***Your skin sample is a small piece of precious diagnostic material and the analysis is reported by one of the very few, highly subspecialised, Consultant Pathologist in the UK. Fees on theatre booking & histological analysis of skin samples obtained during biopsy/surgery are billed separately.
